Black Folk Don’t web series

Black Folks Don’t is a web series that seeks to deconstruct stereotypes about black folks. I love this show! It’s providing an alternative voice for black folks who resist white supremacist definitions of who they are when it comes to  activism, music, sustainability, etc. Of course, I loved the episode on black feminism 😉

Happy 2014!!

I hope folks had a safe and happy holidays 🙂  I got the opportunity to read a novel (Terry McMillan’s “Who Asked You?”), caught a couple of movies  (“Hunger Games” and “12 Years a Slave.” I will write my thoughts about these films another day), and socialized with friends.  I had a fun time, but now it’s time to get back into the swing of thangs.  I wish everyone a fabulous new year 🙂

My boo and I hit up Joe’s Crab Shack for a New Years Eve meal. I grubbed 🙂
A friend and I embarked on whiskey sour taste tasting adventure.
Yummy treat…I need to do more socializing with friends!
